Insecure people can either find a way of escape and heal from their insecurities, or choose the road towards deceiving people. Deception is the main tactic of the enemy, for he too is very insecure. Lucifer was once this beautiful archangel in charge of worship in Heaven. Ezekiel 28:13 speaks of him as follows: You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering: the sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created.
There are many people who likewise follow the footsteps of Satan to perceive themselves to be better, and are prideful. But in reality they are insecure, and pride will consume them. They will have no chance towards real success. Instead, they become liars, gossipers, evil in their spirit; and at the same time they portray a perfect image of themselves as if they’re someone important, respectable, intelligent, all wise, the perfect human being. When something seems too perfect, it’s definitely a red flag. Lucifer was a red flag. Sin was found in him.
Are you insecure? Caution! Pride will set in and consequences will follow. Your own insecurities will psychologically impair you and will transform you into someone you’re not. Was Lucifer an insecure angel in heaven? Did he feel challenged by God? Is this what led him to pride? God never makes mistakes. So Lucifer wasn’t a mistake. Satan’s decision towards handling his mission led to pride. It was his choice. The sins of this world, brought about by Adam & Eve, led to many types of insecurities which opens a wide door to all kinds of sin. Satan possessed the serpent, deceived Adam & Eve through his pride, and imperfection brought about problems as well as challenges which makes us decide to either follow good or evil.
